I was running through, it is coming out well…this is the best part of writing a book, when we have feedback flowing in and inputs are with us, we are able to control the flow and craft the scenes in a more profound manner…best wishes!!!

  I must admit, Nihar, that I agree that “this is the best part of writing a book, when we have feedback flowing in”. As much as the act of writing is like breathing for me, feedback makes my heart beat.

  It reached over 19,000 words today, and still more bones keep showing up for the story skeleton, so I don’t know how near it is to completion. I’ll keep you informed, though.

Grace, my sincerest apologies. I need to come back to this when I have the quality time to give it because it truly deserves my complete attention. And also, irony of irony….I have had a migraine for two days straight and then I see that’s the name of one of your sections! You are really garnering tons of fans at Google! So very proud of you.   My dear Steph, no apologies needed. You must know that I understand the need to respect the work of other writers whom we especially value. I’m sure that you noticed that I have not been active at your blog lately. I am DELIGHTED that Huffington Post published you, and look forward to when I can savor your latest posts, not just blast through them. I’m just having trouble reading lately.
  
  The migraine that I had this past Monday corresponded with unusual visual disturbances, unlike the ocular migraines or auras that I sometimes have. Yesterday, my eye doctor found that it was “just” a floater. I’m aging! Then, his optician told me that my eyeglasses need frequent adjustment because my heat flashes melt them. I thought you’d appreciate that one 😉
  
  I hope that the Migraine section helps to relieve your migraine…in a safe way! After all, I a not driven by a need to simply horrify anyone, but to confront ideas and challenge preconceptions.

Grace! I finally had some time to read Sewing. I wanted to comment on your G+ post but I didn’t feel like creating ‘noise’ as I am certain everyone else who commented on your post would get notified. :p

I didn’t think you were being too technical or detailed. As a matter of fact, I was wondering what you were sewing. And you said your grandma taught you how to sew but you kept saying ‘he’. Is there an explanation behind that? 😀

I’m glad you were wondering what was being sewn! 🙂 I’m glad you weren’t dragged down by the details. Thanks for letting me know.

The first sentence, “My grandmother taught me to sew.” is in quotes, indicating that the narrator didn’t say it, but “he” did. I can see how this might be confusing. I appreciate your pointing it out. Hugs

Well, I have NOT had a headache this long, rest assured. My goodness, how much you’ve added to this since I was here. But none of the additions ever show up in my Reader?? Full Moon and Yoga were spectacular (crotch scene not too crude but actually brilliant!) and your writing has reached a meditative depth that is almost ethereal. I applaud you but how do I know which order to read all these excerpts in? And as usual, I am still locked out of my google account but is that the same as gmail? I see you have a lot of avid readers there. Bravo to you my friend! You’re going places!

  🙂 Thanks for reading so attentively. I arranged these excerpts in tentative, sequential order from top to bottom. I’ve been skipping around and rearranging them as I write and edit them, so the final result will be somewhat different. I’m finding that sharing this book as I write it is making each excerpt almost able to stand alone as flash fiction.

I read a couple of your stories at random and then read the comments here (as well as google+). I just came back from reading Migraine, and wow, I’m so impressed with that piece – so powerful and horrific in a compelling way – I was convinced you had experienced it yourself! You are part of a valuable support group there.

  I did experience the Migraine part, but only as I wrote it, and as a detached writer. I have always had vivid dreams, entertaining my family during breakfast since I was a little kid. I learned to tell my dreams in the first person present tense, so that helps a lot with this kind of writing.
  
  I am glad that I found the Google+ writing group. In addition to the public comments on each others’ work, we have private conversations within the community site where we discuss ideas for how to share our writings. Come join us!

    I can imagine as you got older you’d have to keep some dreams back from breakfast conversation! When I’m writing I can get right into the zone and I find myself sighing just before I write it! If I can’t see it in my head and can’t feel it, I can’t write it.

    Oh yay! So happy I inspire! I think it’s very important to learn how to set those limits, especially for young girls. It’s so easy for them to get involved with bad people with all the access to the internet. It can be scary stuff.
